Hello, love! I'm Juniper

It’s really nice to meet you. I am so glad you’re here.

I’m a board-certified coach with specialty certifications in somatic coaching and trauma-informed care. I’m a writing body, a storyteller, a closet poet, a holder of space, and a survivor of complex trauma.

But most importantly- I’m a human person trying to find my authentic and purposeful way in this world. I spent a lot of my life in survival mode. And worse, I didn’t even really know it. I perfected the art of running my life at a hundred miles an hour, every hour of every day so the darkness, loneliness, and brokenness couldn’t catch me and swallow me whole. And just called that "normal".

I was alive, but I wasn’t really living.

After almost 3 decades and in the midst of 2 (and a half?) major burn out episodes, I started the courageous work of reclaiming myself and rewriting my story. I’ll admit, friend- healing work is not all rainbows and butterflies. It gets ugly and messy and lonely and confusing. And, if your survival brain is hardwired like mine, your self-protection includes a lot of building walls and isolating from other people, making it even more lonely, sad, and hopeless.

In the depths of that immense loneliness, I turned to the pages of my journal initially out of desperation and eventually as my deepest and most sacred sanctuary. Writing gave me the freedom to live in the power of making my own rules. To craft new narratives, take new perspectives, and find words for my experiences and emotions. In the privacy of my own page, I released, I laid bare, and I said what I could never utter out loud. The page is where I learned what being whole and healing really means.

My healing journey is a long and winding one that continues on to this very day. It includes the building of The Writing Body- the place and people I wish I had in my earlier days of recovery. A safe space not just to support others in rewriting their own stories of thriving, but rewriting the rules of how we learn to heal and thrive within community.

You aren’t alone and you don’t ever have to be anymore. Let’s start writing together.

We are The Writing Bodies and this is what we stand for

Empathy is our life blood.

We recognize each journey is unique and our individual lived experience is our own. Also, human suffering is common and it is what binds us together in our shared existence. You are not alone. We see you. We feel with each other and we share our pain. We meet each other with compassion and remind each other that every part of us is valid.

We are not driven by ego.

We humbly believe above all in the power of our individual wholeness, of community, of connection, and of healing our relationships with ourselves so we can have more prosperous and abundant relationships with others. We believe in the wisdom of Mother Nature and the natural energetic world and the part they play in our individual and collective healing.

Authenticity and inclusivity are paramount.

All of you is welcome here. We do not judge, we do not preach. We commit to holding each other in unconditional positive regard for us to recognize the powerful beings that we are and, if so invited, witness and walk with each other on this journey to inhabiting ourselves fully and with love.         Â
